Committing

 

Along with NaNoWriMo, which I have been doing on and off since 2001, I am committing to starting this new blog and keeping up with it. I am hoping I can do it at least through the month of November but I would like it to be a long-term thing.

The premise is that will be using prompts from various online sources to start a writing project -- some just a few words, others considerably longer. I will try to credit the source but, I will admit, I don't recall all of them.

Among the categories will be "Write the first page," "Complete the sentence" and "Start your story with/using ..."

I would also like to rewrite my "Joe and Gina" series. Only the first two were published. Three and four are written (pretty much) but need some editing. Five is this year's NaNoWriMo project. Six will probably be a prequel, which is finished in my head. Seven will be a sequel with another woman as the main character and only featuring Gina and, to a lesser extent, Joe. It's partially written but on a laptop that died on me. Now that I have a reasonable income I may be able to pay someone to retrieve the hard drive for me.

So, we'll see how it goes. I have faith in myself today, but who knows how I'll feel a week from now?
